On the last day of the second semester, Florida football players filed in from the field carrying shoulder pads.

They were one day away from kickoff. They were playing the Gators against Michigan State in the biggest game in the history of Florida. And on the first play of the season that Monday, players from both teams were on the field.

AYou won’t believe this about Florida Gators football.

Last night, the Florida Gators women’s tennis team took down Virginia Tech at a sold out Reynolds Stadium.

And, they took down a powerhouse, ranked No. 2 by ESPN tennis poll.

To hear some people tell it, the Gators didn’t win, the Gators lost.

The verdict: Florida lost.

A few weeks ago, I wrote a piece for the Gainesville Sun entitled, “Foggy Bottom to the Folds: The Gators areYou won’t believe this about Florida Gators football.

The 2015 college football season doesn’t start for a couple months, but Florida’s first opponent, Florida State, played its first official game on Friday night of spring practice. Florida had played in just four games combined in 2014 and 2015, and the Gators’ first game without Tim Tebow in the lineup was a loss to Kentucky.
