I have been a Klay Thompson fan, a Klay Thompson fan since he entered the NBA. His scoring and rebounding prowess caught my eye, his athleticism impressed me, and I loved watching him play. It was this combination of his skill and his personality that made him my favorite NBA player. Then tragedy struck in 2008, when he lost his mother to Alzheimer’s disease. The news hit me hard, not only because of her illness, but also because of his reaction that followed.Where is Klay Thompson?

The Golden State Warriors (41-5) extended the NBA’s longest NBA Finals undefeated streak (18) to 23 games in Sunday afternoon’s Finals rematch versus LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers (35-12).

The Warriors’ two games in the Finals have produced both the most memorable and most notable performances in their history, with three of the four coming from three-point specialist Stephen Curry.

Klay Thompson was the NBA’s Most Improved Player of the Year in 2014-15, averaging 17.8 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. In that season, Thompson became the first player ever to hit at least 26 three-pointers in three consecutive seasons (2006-08) and the first to reach 50 three-pointers in a calendar year since Michael Jordan in 1988-89.
