I have been a Klay Thompson fan, a Klay Thompson fan since he entered the NBA. His scoring and rebounding prowess caught my eye, his athleticism impressed me, and I loved watching him play. It was this combination of his skill and his personality that made him my favorite NBA player. Then tragedy struck in 2008, when he lost his mother to Alzheimer’s disease. The news hit me hard, not only because of her illness, but also because of his reaction that followed.Where is Klay Thompson?

In that season, Thompson became the first player ever to hit at least 26 three-pointers in three consecutive seasons (2006-08) and the first to reach 50 three-pointers in a calendar year since Michael Jordan in 1988-89.
