For all you fans of Kentucky football, here is your latest round of Kentucky Football:

I’m not gonna talk about the SEC in this article. With SEC teams rolling through a couple more bowls this weekend, I will be focusing on the ACC.

Kentucky football is good and bad. Good for our state, and bad for the SEC.

The good

To quote Joe Lunardi, our current head coach, “Coach RWhere is Kentucky football? I’m not talking about the Kentucky Wildcats, the school that is making waves for its aggressive recruiting, but about Kentucky’s inability to find its way back to the top of the SEC. Coach Rich Brooks has spent nine years and $21.1 million to get his team back on its feet, only to watch things fall apart.

Kentucky football is so entrenched in the state that it’s not even a state-school football team anymore. The football program has moved to the University of Louisville since the late 1990s, and the university, as well, has grown its recruiting network into the state of New York.

Over the last 20 years, Kentucky has lost more than two-thirds of its football players to the SEC, and for good reason — Lexington has not produced
