For the first time in years, Alabama football finally seems to be on the rise. Sure, they were an annual staple in the college and NFL landscape for years, but the Crimson Tide has finally managed to get themselves into a position to be a factor in the national consciousness, if notWhen did Alabama football born?

I’m not talking about football-oriented stuff, either. We’re talking about when Alabama football was born. From the moment that Bill Curry began recruiting Crimson Tide players in the early ’60s, he was a force in keeping the Tide in the sport. It would be hard to understate just how important Curry’s efforts were.
