What is the Seahawks? Well the name of the team is a little misleading. It’s actually a franchise named after a street in Seattle. But what kind of a team? It makes a lot of sense when you think about it. For example: The Seahawks are the team that has the best logo. They have the most identifiable colors (blue, gray, white and gray). They have the most identifiable song (“You’ll Never Walk Alone”). ThereWhat is Seahawks? The answer is complicated. It would be easy to say they have a “unique” identity: They have been the defending Super Bowl champions and they have the second most championships in franchise history. However, it is more a team of coaches and players who have come together to win the championship.

The team was founded in 1982 as the expansion Seattle Seahawks, owned by the city of Seattle and the Boeing Company. Their first head coach was Bud Grant. Their current head coach is Pete Carroll. The Seahawks have won six NFL championships (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2009) and have the best overall record in NFL history (9–1) in 2017.
