With the help of his father, Peter Scolari has seen the rise and fall of many New York media empires. Peter joined the venerable Newsday in 1980 as an editorial assistant, and quickly rose to the role of chief editor.

Peter was elected editor of Newsday and a member of the Newsday board of directors in 1989.
