What about Gary Payton? He played in the NFL and made some really, truly stupid calls. Is this not relevant when he was trying to teach the game? Does it not count when he’s trying to explain to his kids what he’s really just done? I thought this was a show about how stupid and incompetent the NFL is.

I don’t really have a problem with what he’s done so far. I do think that he needs to wait a little bit more, though. Why should he play until the sixth round? He could easily develop into a decent MLB catcher or backup outfielder.

It’s clear that he had more talent than the talent we had when he left, but he was never given the opportunity. He should have been the starter.
