What about Dune? Did anyone actually read it?

And here I am, sitting in this apartment, on the second floor of a large building that I’ve never even been to before today, with the door closed, waiting for my brother to wake up and get off his ass to go down there and check it out for me.

They had a ton of great stories and characters, but no one I could see growing up after being exposed to these stories as a kid. For example, I loved the Dune novels. They’re like a lot of novels. They have a great plot, great characters, and wonderful prose. The Lord of the Rings… well, I’ve never been to a movie. I’ve read all the books. They just sit there, kind of… staring at me
