The state of Alabama is a little different from any other since it has the National championship of three different sports.

Football, basketball, and baseball are the three main choices that kids play, and they can pick whatever sport they want to make a career with.

If you happen to be a Alabama fan, you might say that the state is a college football paradise, with the only problem being that none of the schools that make a run at the title are from Alabama. What about Alabama football?

Auburn, Alabama, is a college football town.

Not for long, though.

The NCAA will be pulling down “All-Time Alabama Football” banners over the next two years. A group of alumni announced plans to lobby for the banners to stay on display.

“Why will the NCAA change its mind? They haven’t,” said David Fite, a member of the group and grandson of the late Coach Bear BryantWhat about Alabama football? Is the Crimson Tide football team good enough to be relevant like Boise State and Texas or will it take an entire generation to see the full potential of a program that has been around since the 1910’s? Maybe in the 2023’s? Or the 2025’s?

Basketball is arguably the second fastest-growing sport in America.

Football, not so much.

When looking at the last 60 years of the sport, I think we can narrow down

We’ve talked about the Crimson Tide’s success the last few years, and even Alabama head coach Nick Saban’s recent interview where he said, “The Tide are really good, and I’ve told my players that I don’t have the foggiest.” Well, for once, I believe Saban.
