FDA-approved safety device to prevent the most serious injury to workers
A safe, low-cost device to prevent high-energy impacts on worker’s backs has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use by workers.
The device, called “The Backstop”, was developed by the nonprofit Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The device essentially eliminates the chances of serious spinalThe latest news about OSHA.
As in the case of other large construction projects, the construction site of the new United States Congress building in Washington, DC, was beset with various problems. At the beginning, the project cost was estimated to be over $1.6 billion dollars. The contractor, GAF Corporation, had to hire more than a thousand workers for the construction of the project.
