How about LSU football?

I haven’t been impressed with LSU football in several years. I’m not sure it still exists.

After two years without a national championship, one of my favorite athletes in the program announced his retirement this past spring, and there’s a feeling in parts of the country where the Tigers were a national-title contender in the early 2000s that has faded so much that it’s now hard to remember a time when LSU was that good. How about LSU football? You can’t go wrong with the home of the Swamp, can you? It’s almost like they have a secret formula for success and it’s somehow the only thing that wins.

There’s the sweet spot. Right smack in the middle, between the middle of the road and the top of the mountain.

On the road, it’s hard to see that sweet spot until you’re at the bottom line of a 1-5 or a 1-6 record.
